The sangha of Lauri Monastery perform a variety of pujas (listed at the end of this page) to dispel obstacles and bring about auspicious conditions.
Puja
Puja is a form of ceremony that involves offerings, chanting, prayers, mediation, reflection and some special practices in the Buddhist tradition. Participating in the puja and making offerings to the Three Jewels, as well as the Dharma Protectors, help to invoke their blessings and appeal for their timely assistance. With their protection and blessings, obstacles are cleared, positive conditions in various aspects of our life, such as health, career, family and relationships can also improve. For those who wish to sponsor the puja, you may sponsor to cover the cost of the event fully or partially, such as lamps/flowers/food offering, teas/meals offering to the Sangha performing the puja, as well as make general donations to the ceremony. Please do include a prayer request, e.g. for a relative who is ill, for someone who has passed away, for a business venture, for safe travel, or simply for a friend's good health and long life typically accompanies the offering. Sponsors become active participants in maintaining traditions that date back to the time of Buddha Shakyamuni, and in sustaining the monastery which preserves those traditions for the benefit of all sentient beings.
